Realising just how typically Perth street style my fashion sense is.

We’re pretty laid back dressers over here in Perth. I’d even say, borderline lazy. Living on the coast will do that to you. We want to be able to transition from work to beach as easily as possible. & summers can be scorchers.
For the most part, we don’t like too much fuss. Denim cut-offs & crops tops will usually do it. We’re pretty easygoing over here in the most isolated capital in the world.
But we do love to dress up every now & then. Even if “dressing up” means mixing King Street designer with high street boyfriend jeans. But we know how to make it work.
& being casual doesn’t mean we don’t have style. Perth is home to different precincts of fashion & style hang outs. Even though the whole cool & effortless theme remains the same across the city, there’s still a lot of variety when it comes to fashion. Farfetch points out all the different style in their Perth Street Style & fashion hangouts article.
I’d say I’m quintessentially a Perthian when it comes to dressing. A typical outfit for me in the summer is the boyfriend jeans & crop top combo. A typical outfit for me in the winter is jeans & a sweater. Maybe a coat if it gets cold enough. Add a designer bag & some gold jewellery so I don’t look like a total slob & we’re ready to order avocado on toast at one of Perth’s many cafes.
& by the way, Perth has the most cafes per capita than any other city in the world. Another reason we need easygoing clothes that don’t constrict us.
