An outfit post and a tiny glance into the streets of Yao, Osaka and winter in Japan.

Wearing: Forever21 hooded coat, Cotton On scarf, Unlabelled treggings, Adidas Superstar sneakers (I’m wearing children’s shoes and haven’t seen this colour combo anywhere else but a similar pair is here)

Just a standard Japanese drain. They don’t do anything half-assed here.

Something I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned on my blog before is that I have a five year old son. A couple of months before his 5th birthday he decided of his own free will that he wanted to “give all my toys away to other kids who don’t have anything to play with” and after unloading what was essentially a trailer load of toys off to charity, his father and I decided that instead of buying him toys for his birthdays, we’d instead buy him experiences. Thus a 16 day trip to Japan was planned.
The initial idea was a few days in Japan to take him to Disneyland and DisneySea but we thought that we might as well extend our trip and experience as many different things as we could while we’re there which is pretty much the whole reason I had abandoned my blog for the past two weeks.

I thought it would be easy to update my blog every few days while over there and fit in a few outfit posts but it just wasn’t. Not to mention the fact that winter in Japan was an unbelievable kind of cold I’ve never experienced before which left me wearing the same two outfits almost everyday. This is a variation of what wore most of the time and these photos are taken in Yao, a city in the Osaka prefecture.

Anyway, in an effort to make up for the lack of blog updates, I’m going to be posting photologues on my trip there, attempt my hand at a short video with the footage we captured and if anyone’s interested, some guides on the places we visited. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to know and I’ll do my best.

Have an awesome Thursday.

PS. As awesome as they are try to ignore my stripy socks.
